Giving Him a Complex
Picture this. I'm sitting on my couch, night after night, for about 3 nights. I'm knitting and watching TV. The knitting project is going great. A pixie hat for my son. Then, my routine changes. I take the knitting out during a Saturday naptime. In the light of day, I realize something is wrong. The hat, which I thought was orange, is pink. Now, I am not that opposed to putting something pink on my son's head. Well, I guess I sort of am. But my husband really is. So this hat is almost done (and it took quite a while using this sock weight yarn) and I have no idea what I'm going to do with it. But damn it's looking cute, wouldn't you agree? I even thought about donating it to my newfound awesome local crafty charity, Bundles of Love, but they don't need any hats! Bah!
Suggestions?

I loooooove it! Wish I had a teeny tiny head. Take a look for a caps for kids program in your area. Or call your local elementary school and see if they need donations for their students. I hope the pattern is on ravelry - I wanna make one too.
I think its so cute in pink, but how about dying it maybe? Would it be possible to keep making it bigger and wear it yourself? Its so cute!
LOL!! Bummer about the pink. Maybe you could pin something bad-ass on it, like a skull or something? Oona's dying idea is a good one too. It is too cute not to keep. Maybe Grant will have a little sister some day! :-D
Hi Tracy! How 'bout this: you put a nipple on the top and make it a boob hat. Hubby is bound to dig that. :) Hope you're well!

hmmmmm...do I hear GIVE AWAY????????????????
if not, I like Dana's nipple idea. Brilliant, really. Or, knit another one, and use them as breast warmers. You did say it was cold....
I heard somewhere that pink used to be the color choice for baby boys... let's bring it back.
